The version of OS X called Yosemite was pretty good for its time. <a href=\"http:\/\/cocoaconf.com\/yosemite\">The conference called Yosemite<\/a>\u00a0that I went to last year after NAB was fantastic.\u00a0If you&#8217;re in the US\u00a0and\u00a0part of the Mac or iOS community, then you should definitely make the time to go.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-1230\" src=\"http:\/\/funwithstuff.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_3527-960x539.jpg\" alt=\"Half Dome in Yosemite National Park\" width=\"660\" height=\"371\" srcset=\"https:\/\/funwithstuff.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_3527-960x539.jpg 960w, https:\/\/funwithstuff.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_3527-580x326.jpg 580w, https:\/\/funwithstuff.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_3527-768x431.jpg 768w, https:\/\/funwithstuff.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_3527.jpg 2000w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 660px) 100vw, 660px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s no other place where you can hang out (and\u00a0even eat dinner) with the Apple-related people you&#8217;ve been reading for 20 years, learn amazing things from amazing people, go on fantastic walks in one of the most beautiful forests on the planet, and then drink cheap booze* under the stars.<\/p>\n<p>While I don&#8217;t expect I&#8217;ll be able to go again (I live on the wrong side of the world and NAB isn&#8217;t on at the same time in 2017) I&#8217;d definitely be going if I lived nearer. Yosemite (the park) is\u00a0something you should do at least once in your life, and Yosemite (the conference) is a brilliant way to kill two birds with one stone.<\/p>\n<p>*Optional but recommended<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The US National Park is awesome.
